Welcome to Dancing Frog Farm!
Dancing Frog Farm is a small hobby farm located in Chaplin, CT. We are new to the area and lifestyle, having made a major move in July 2007... cross country in fact! We packed up our two dogs, three kitties, two Bearded Dragons (who spend the school year in my classroom), loaded a big moving van with our stuff and left Redondo Beach, California (near Los Angeles) where I grew up. We stayed with friends while we were getting settled into new jobs, then in January 2008 bought our dream house with river frontage, a pond, and almost sixteen acres.  | There's so much to learn about the "country" lifestyle, I thought this webpage might be a good place to compile some of the lessons I'm learning as I go along. I get some pretty funny looks from people when I tell them all my plans for my little "farm". Most of my newfound wisdom will likely be common knowledge for most hobby farming folks, but I'm not claiming to have found anything new... just what a city girl's experience has taught her about living the country dream. --Keely Macalister |
